Those popular FLYING SCOTT BROTHERS, GEORGE and SANDY, get a crack at one of the top villain teams in the sport, ALDO BOGNI and BRONCHO LUBICH, in tonight's two-out-of-three falls wrestling main event at the LEXINGTON YMCA.

Three straight wins over BRUTE BERNARD and SKULL MURPHY have led to the SCOTTS' signing to meet BOGNI and LUBICH.

But, when you face ALDO and BRONCHO, one must also deal with crafty manager HOMER O'DELL, who is always lurking about with his deadly cane. The cane is often used for more than just walking support.

RAY VILLMER, victorious two weeks straight, will also be back tonight to tackle tough TONY NERO.

THE VIKING faces EDUARDO CASTILLIO, and PEPPI GOMEZ will combat ANGELO MARTINELLI in the 8:15 opening match.

BLOOD(Y) BROTHERS AT WAR

LEXINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA

A battle between two brother teams highlights professional wrestling tonight at the LEXINGTON YMCA.

It will be THE FLYING SCOTTS, GEORGE and SANDY, against LARS and GENE ANDERSON, and bad blood exists between the two units. There were brief flurries here last Saturday night when the SCOTT brothers took up for CHIEF LITTLE EAGLE and JERRY LONDON after the ANDERSONs had defeated them. LARS and GENE decided winning the match wasn't enough, so the skullduggery continued until GEORGE and SANDY stepped in to control the violence. Tonight, the ANDERSON / SCOTT collision should get hot and heavy.

The widely-known South American wildman, PAMPERO FIRPO, makes his LEXINGTON debut tonight when he joins forces with THE MISSOURI MAULER to meet big KLONDIKE BILL and partner GREG PETERSON in another tag encounter.

Two-out-of-three falls govern both tag team matches.

Singles matches tonight will see popular Texan NELSON ROYAL meet the mysterious masked man, THE MUMMY, while TONY ROMANO and PEDRO GODOY, both rugged veterans, meet in a bullies opening match at 8:15.

Professional wrestling's 'BLONDE BOMBERS' RIP HAWK and SWEDE HANSON plan a 'From Here to Eternity" battle with skinheads BRUTE BERNARD and SKULL MURPHY at PARK CENTER tonight in the most heralded rematch of the year.

HAWK and HANSON were the losers in their last battle with MURPHY and BERNARD, but they have a legitimate beef in the final countdown (which cost them the match). They yelled long and loud and convinced promoter JIM CROCKETT the foursome should do it again.

CROCKETT agreed, but set up unusual terms for tonight's clash. The match has been made with the stipulation that the winning team must record THREE-out-of-FIVE falls, not the usual two-out-of-three.

"It may take all night, but we're going to find out who can go the distance," said 'BIG JIM'. "If you have ever seen a train wreck, you know how devastating that can be. That's about what we're going to have at PARK CENTER."

A star-packed prelim card will support this huge main event.

Bell time is 8:15.

The Mighty HAYSTACKS CALHOUN and speedy ABE JACOBS join forces as a tag team tonight and will face the rowdy skinhead duo of BRUTE BERNARD and SKULL MURPHY in the evening's main event wrestling bout at the LEXINGTON YMCA.

CALHOUN, the "world's biggest wrestler" and JACOBS, known for his "kee-wee roll" should give their rule-breaking opponents plenty of competition in the best two-out-of-three falls contest.

Another big operator, GEORGE 'TWO TON' HARRIS meets the very popular GEORGE 'CATALINA' DRAKE' in the co-main event, scheduled for the best-of-three falls.

Three top preliminaries are also on tap with big stars involved.

RON REED will face off against rowdy MIKE GALLAGHER.

RAY DURAN will meet young OMAR ATLAS.

Two veterans will compete when GORY GUERRERO challenges TINKER TODD.

 

BECKER'S BACK IN LEXINGTON

GEORGE BECKER, hero of many wrestling fans of the Carolinas and Virginia, will have a big task awaiting him when he returns to the LEXINGTON YMCA tonight after a lengthy absence.

The grappling idol is scheduled to meet nasty LARRY 'CRUSHER' HAMILTON, a brusing heavyweight, in the main event of a four bout program.

HAMILTON asked for a crack at BECKER when he heard the hero was moving back into the area.

"He might be coming back, but he won't be here for long," stated HAMILTON. "After I whip him like a dog, he'll tuck tail and run back to wherever he was."

Tag team action is also on tap for tonight with MARTINO LORENZA and ENRIQUE TORRES teaming to battle the veteran ruffians TED CHRISTY and JOE KAPA.

Both matches are set for the best two-out-of-three falls.

Two preliminary bouts are set with CYCLONE ANAYA meeting CHARLIE LAY, and in the 8:15 opening match, PRINCE OMAR faces popular STEVE BOLUS.

Professional wrestling returns to the LEXINGTON YMCA tonight following a week's lay-off, and a big card featuring big men has been signed.

THE KENTUCKIANS, TINY ANDERSON and BIG BOY BROWN will face two rough and tough opponents when they collide with THE ALASKAN and THE BEAST.

This two-out-of-three falls match is a renewal of a fierce feud, and it appears to be reaching a boiling point. THE KENTUCKIANS will be matching their mammoth size against the rugged  tactics of THE ALASKAN and the totally unpredictable wild man, THE BEAST.

Girl wrestlers BETTY BOUCHER and TONI ROSE square off in a ladies match.

In an added midgets contest, LITTLE BOY BLUE faces CHICO SANTANA.

There are two singles prelims as well.

Heavyweight DALE LEWIS meets tough guy MIKE GALLAGHER, and 'TIGER' JACK VANSKY will test THE VIKING.

Bell time is 8:15.
